A Sensitive Time Touch Sensitive Book 1 edition by Lee Isserow Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks
In a strange string of events, I came across this right after snapping up a ticket for an art show.On display, if you will, is a gathering of the original paintings and sculptures which were the "Stars" of Night Gallery.
Which seemed rather fitting for me as I followed up by reading this little nugget of twisted thought.
A Sensitive Time fits in so nicely with dark strolls through Rod's Gallery. This is a reminder of the things we try not to remember. That room you are slowly passing, where the light is flickering for no reason, with shadows dancing around from insanely impossible directions. Those nauseating little leftover bits of dread that other people are pledging and praying to hide away from you. All as you try to protect yourself away from when that accidental brush of skin on skin instantly sledgehammers your frontal lobes into jelly.
I'm looking forward to seeing what new things are waiting to torment John Ballard. Wanting to see how long he can hold out for. As I start laying out bets on when his sanity will snap.
All the while, being happy that it's happening to Him.
Not to me!
I can only handle so much Darkness at one time.

A Sensitive Time Touch Sensitive Book 1 edition by Lee Isserow Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews
This prequel to "Time Sensitive" is great read. A person who is capable of committing murder is "read" by his lover while he is asleep ends up having his own secret emotions & actions revealed. Great for those people who like "psychic" noir books or just want a little something to read before bedtime.
I have been a scifi and fantasy reader for 50+ years and never read anything quite as unique as this story line. Well written and highly recommended by me. Be aware, it takes a chapter to get your head wrapped around the idea, but you won't regret this book.
I usually avoid very short stories unless it is about a series I have read extensively--too much gets left out and it is difficult to decide whether I really like it. That is what happened here. Too short, not enough plot/character development, or interactions. I will probably read the first book, and see where it leads, becuase I liked the basic premise. But this short short did not hit my hot button.
So it's 4 in the morning and I can't sleep. I decide to read a short story and well, this was my choice. It was creepy good! I don't want to say anything about the story and spoil it for anyone. But after you read it, you'll know why it was kind of eerie reading this in bed with only the light of my and my husband sleeping beside me. Yikes!
I enjoyed the style of writing from the author. It flowed and made for a quick read. Very unique story and I'll look for more from this author.
The reason I gave it four rather than five stars was due to it's length. It's only a few short pages long and because of that we're unable to get into the characters like we would in a longer work. The author has an exciting concept though and I'm anxious to read his full length novel on the same subject!
A VERY short story. At an initial glance it can seem like sweet, loving and caring display between a husband and a wife.
But thats an illusion, as it is superbly told, you find out exactly how dark and twisted the imagery you initially thought and perceived as innocent actually is. I'd say its not a short story with a twist. I would more accurately say its a Short story with a double Nelson that slam-dunks you to ground. The "missing star" is based on that the story was very very short, and the rest of the pages was a the "teaser" for the main book. (Ratio 1 part story 4 parts teaser, story should at least be longer than the teaser..)
"Wow," that's all I can say. As a card-carrying member, I can attest that being a sensitive is indeed a blessing and a curse, at times, however, I've never imagined that "the gift" could be so intricate, as shown in this story. This narrative was very well written and the subsequent exclusive preview of Touch Sensitive was simply mind-blowing. Would love to see this portrayed in a film some day. Great Job!
